Welcome to Life on the Rhode! My name is Tamara and I’ve been a resident of Rhode Island for over twenty years.

While raising a family in Rhode Island, I used my background in corporate marketing and social media consulting to start a family travel blog called We3Travel. Through this blog, I was able to share my love of travel around Rhode Island, the USA, and the world.

When I’m not traveling, I love exploring every corner of my home state — finding new hiking trails, sampling the latest brewery, and trying out all the latest restaurants and food trucks. I wanted to share my love for Little Rhody not just with those visiting Rhode Island, but also with other locals.

I’ve traveled to 49 states and 35+ countries, but I still feel most at home here in the Ocean State. It was time to dig a little deeper and share the best that Rhode Island has to offer on its own special place on the Internet — Life on the Rhode.

About Life on the Rhode

Life on the Rhode is based on my own personal experiences in and around Rhode Island. Since I live in Northern Rhode Island, you may tend to find more information centered around Providence, Newport, and the Blackstone Valley. But don’t worry, since Rhode Island is so small, I’m doing my best to cover every nook and cranny.

Don’t expect local news or coverage of every event happening around the state. My goal with this blog is to focus on Rhode Island as a destination, covering the sorts of things you might do here as a visitor or curious local.

What you will find are weekend itinerary ideas, tour reviews, restaurant round-ups (and the occasional review), and profiles on attractions and annual events around the state.

For those planning trips to Rhode Island, I hope this blog will give you some inspiration about fun things to see and do here — in every season. And for those of you who live in Rhode Island, hopefully it will help you discover something new.
